Use the violet to draw a light shadow roughly copying the shape of the tree facing the same direction of all the other shadows.


Use the violet to add a darker value to the top of the sky. Press harder at the top of the sky and don't color over the clouds.


Press lighter as you move down the sky and don't color all the way down to the barn roof. This creates the illusion of distance using value.
